Implementation of a process approach in an organization |

A process approach is a little bit like a black hole. Everyone knows they exist, but no-one ever saw them with their own eyes. However, that concept, where organizations see their own work not from a department's or organizational unit's perspective, but through their processes and are more customer focused, is getting more and more popular. We hear very often managers boasting, that process management is very important in their companies. No wonder - that direction is mainly determined by quality management systems (QMS), in particular by ISO 9001, which directly mentions, in a few places, about the necessity of defining and managing processes, establishing their interrelations etc.
